Just listened to this, and I enjoyed it – have listened to almost all the albums mentioned. My favorite 80s album on the list would have to be Remain In Light by Talking Heads. Truly a mind- altering experience when I heard it played loud one day in Claremont during my Senior Year. By far the best Talking Heads album and tour – everyone who went to the concert was raving for days. Not a bad song to be found and they are still transportive and sound fresh!

Thanks for the comment, Peter! “Remain In Light” is a wonderful album. Very innovative stuff going on throughout the record.

I think one the things live music can do is create these memorable moments that are so immersive that they can’t be replicated. Sounds like something like that happened when you saw Talking Heads perform live.

Hope you’ll check out other episodes to see what other albums come into our orbit.
